The town of Benalmádena, located 11 miles from Málaga, is divided in 3 differentiated areas: Benalmádena Costa, where Hotel Mac Puerto Marina is located, the main tourist area, modern and cosmopolitan and famous for its beautiful beaches and leisure activities; Arroyo de la Miel, a lively residential area located between the coast and the mountains; and the town of Benalmádena, a charming traditional Andalusian town with narrow cobbled streets and white houses with flowers hanging out of the windows, located just 5 miles from the hotel.

The Benalmádena marina is a symbol of the town. With unique and attractive architecture (a series of artificial islands linked by bridges), it is considered as one of the best of its kind in the world. The marina is a luxurious residential complex with restaurants, bars, pubs, the Puerto Marina Shopping Centre and a pleasant interior promenade that goes through it from end to end.
Leisure
Benalmádena leisure offer is immense, with many proposals for all tastes and ages. Nearby you can also find El-Bil-Bil Castle, an Arab-style cultural centre on the shores of the Mediterranean. You can also admire the watchtowers of Bermeja, Torremuelle and Torrequebrada, the latter of which is considered an Asset of Cultural Interest and a Spanish Historical Heritage Site. You can also go on boat rides, go dolphin watching, horse riding, snorkelling and play tennis among the many other interesting activities available to you in Benalmádena. And if you want to enjoy a day of shopping, be sure to visit the street markets in Arrollo de la Miel, the Benalmádena flea market or the organic market, with handmade products, local products, clothes…
Beaches
With a Mediterranean climate and 12 miles of beaches, sand and palm tree groves, Benalmádena is the ideal destination for a beach holiday in the sun. The town has a total of 17 beaches, all of them linked by a seafront promenade, some of which are more crowded and others quieter and more isolated, located between small cliffs. The promenade offers many shopping and gastronomic options with its many beach bars and bar terraces.
